Micro Needling
Also known as collagen induction therapy, Micro Needling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that encourages collagen production. The tiny pin pricks cause slight injury to the skin which reacts naturally by restoring new collagen-rich tissue thathas a more even tone and texture. The increased collagen also helps to make the skin firmer.
A derma roller procedure it uses small needles to prick andpenetrate the upper layers of the skin up to a depth of 2mm creating tiny needle wounds that stimulate collagen and elastin fibres.
This treatment breaks down scar tissue and stimulates the generation of new collagen and other skin tissues for smoother, firmer toned skin, and improving the blood flow to the skin.It reduces stretch marks and scarring and helps to smooth wrinkles,fine lines, pore sizeand sagging skin. Results can generally be visible in one to two weeks.
It is ideally used to reduce mild scarring and stretch marks on the face as well as the body.
In general about three to five months; however, the results vary depending on how long new collagen lasts in your skin and the degree of your skin concerns.
It is a safe procedure with no major side effects except for mild swelling and redness in some instances.
