Chemical Peeling
It is an effective treatment method in which the superficial layer of the skin is removed leaving an improved tone and texture. The depth of the chemical peel recommended will vary from light, medium or deep depending on the condition of your skin. Medium and deep peels also stimulate collagen renewal, resulting in firmer and tighter skin.
A thin layer of chemical agent – usually Alpha hydroxyl acid (AHA) - is applied on the skin to remove the surface layer of dry, dead skin.
A chemical peel brightens the skin, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, evens out skin tone and smoothens rough skin as well as lightening unwanted pigmentation and acne blemishes.
From uneven pigmentation, acne, and aging skin to under eye dark circles as well as reducing marks and to even out textural irregularities on the skin, this treatment is used for many cosmetic skin conditions.
This depends on your skin condition. Light chemical peels can be done every month, but for more intense treatments it is advisable to wait four or six months in between appointments. A deep peel can last for years.
